Not all high voltage test laboratories are the same! We received this ratchet cutter with an epoxy repair from our customer who had it certified by a test laboratory in Edmonton. Our customer was skeptical of the repair completed and asked us to take a look. This may have passed the 75kV/per ft. withstand test, however with such a poor repair the stick would be susceptible to water ingress in the fiberglass creating unnecessary risk for the user.

We were able to repair it with OEM material and provide certification.

What is wrong with the Hot Stick above?  We received this Hot Stick from our customer in southern Alberta. They had taken it somewhere else for recertification in Calgary. However, when they received it back they questioned if it was in good working order. Good thing they did because it was one flex away from potential harming the user or damaging equipment.
